  On August 19, 2006, Patrick Russell, Esq., was interviewed and quoted for a news story by the Miami Herald involving a recent controversey involving the Miami-Dade County Building and Zoning Department.  As it appears, several County employees were selling construction permits to contractors as a way to circumvent the permit application process.  Patrick Russell, Esq., was asked for comment on what, if any, impact this could have on future insurance claims for homeowners that may have employed a contractor that obtained a conractor's license by illicit means.  For the full story by the Miami Herald, click here:
